Check out Discover Aviation Center anytime!

Discover Aviation Center (DAC) introduces people to aviation and helps promote other aviation organizations. We have a Flying Club; offer outreach programs, which include Discover Aviation Day in May each year, airport tours, school career fairs and library programs; and we encourage aviation networking through meetings (first Saturday of each month) and cookouts (third Friday of each month throughout the summer) at the Discover Aviation hangar at the Lorain County Airport.  If you are interested in becoming a member of DAC or would like more information,
please check out our website – discoveraviationcenter.org- or contact us directly (info below).

Did we say the 3rd Friday of each month starting around 6:30 the Discover Aviation Center's Flying Club hosts a cookout in the DAC hangar at the Lorain County Airport off of Russia Rd. All are welcome! Wonderful opportunity to share in the camaraderie of your fellow aviation enthusiasts, or just a good excuse to hang out at the airport for a bit!

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Why getting the big weather picture is important
  • How to improve your go/no-go decision-making process
  • Tips to “weatherize” your mindset and avoid traps like flying VFR into IMC
  • Why technology can be a great tool and your worst enemy in weather flying

As always, please contact us if you would like any additional information or

if you would like to be removed from our distribution list.
