EAA Chapter 1252's Annual Flyro-Gyro

Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA Chapter 1252) Annual Flyro Gyro at the Lorain County Regional Airport. Event runs from 10am - 2pm. This is a FREE fun family event. Fly in or Drive in. Our chapter pilots will offer Free Airplane Rides for kids 8 to 17. A parent must be present. Registration ends at 1pm. Visit the Discover Aviation Center AvLab where you can test your skills flying a real airplane. There will be RC Simulators for young and old to try their skills.. Gyros and Hot Dogs available. Saturday, September 21st - "Flight of the Flags"
Liberty Aviation Museum in Port Clinton, at the Ottawa Airport (KPCW).
Featuring the WWII B-25 Georgie's Gal for commemorative flights honoring our American veterans & those currently serving in the military.  A veteran will be chosen to participate in the flight.  There will be a photo contest too!  The 'Best Shot of the Bomber' will have his or her photo professionally framed.  Please see the attached flyer for more details. This event is being held in the memory of Don Helmick, who is remembered as an aviation legend in our area.

Searching for Amelia Earhart with Ric Gillespie of TIGHAR

International Women's Air and Space Museum.

Burke Lakefront Airport (KBKL), Cleveland, OH

Join us on October 4 at 6:30 p.m. for a presentation with Ric Gillespie, Executive Director of The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery TIGHAR. In 1985, Gillespie and his wife co-founded TIGHAR with the mission to conduct science-based aviation historical research. He is best known for his investigation into the 1937 disappearance of Amelia Earhart. Gillespie has led 11 expeditions to Nikumaroro, a remote uninhabited atoll in the Republic of Kiribati, searching for evidence of the missing Earhart. Gillespie has been featured in numerous television documentaries and publications. Limited copies of his book Finding Amelia: The True Story of the Earhart Disappearance will be available for purchase at the end of the presentation.

Cost is $17. 

The 2019 Dinner Series is made possible from the residents of Cuyahoga County through a grant from Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.
